"Kenneth lived his entire life at the home he has been born in on the Penasco River. He was a rancher and a stockman. For several years he was cattle inspector for the area. He, like his father, was a cowboy of the old time breed that is vanishing from our modern day world."
     Kenneth Rupert Potter died on 27 March 1977 at Mayhill, Otero County, New Mexico, at age 80. He was buried at Mayhill Cemetery, Mayhill, Otero County, New Mexico.
