     Sarah Agnes Lange was born on 25 March 1890 at Globe, Gila County, Arizona, daughter of Otto Augustus Lange and Mary Elizabeth Larremore. She was the eldest of the Lange children and helped her mother raise her nine brothers and sisters. She attended school in Humboldt, Dewey, and Groom Creek, and then Business College in Prescott. She lived in Yeager Canyon, on Sanders Ranch (where Prescott Country Club is today), and on GJ Ranch near Paulden.
     Sarah married Clarence Edwin Eckert . She and Clarence, a minor by trade, lived on the P.Bar Ranch, south of Groom Creek. Sarah's children were Lenora Ellen Bronson (April 29, 1913), Otto Edwin (May 3, 1915), Kenneth Lange (May 22, 1922), Stephen Charles and Betty Jo.
     In addition to being a mother and housewife, Sarah also helped her father with business books and taxes. She was a Christian Scientist, a member of the Rebecca Lodge and active at state and national levels of the Women of the Moose Lodge. She served during World War II as a Greylady at Fort Whipple.
