Joseph Edmond & John Garvin Burleson married sisters, Susan Madita BISHOP & Rachel Edney BISHOP, respectively. Last summer I drove from my home in Austin to Center Point, Kerr. Co., TX, to see Joseph's gravesite. Joseph Edmond & Susan Madita are buried alongside Susan & Rachel's parents, Alfred BISHOP & Delilah MORGAN. I have photos of their headstones.
     John Garvin Burleson was born on 16 March 1828 at Crawford, Missouri, son of REV Jonathon Burleson and Rachel Ellen McClure.
     At age 21, John married Rachel Edney Bishop , daughter of Alfred Bishop and Delilah Morgan. John and Rachel were married on Thursday, 19 April 1849 at LaGrange, Fayette County, Texas.
