William and Fanny's daughter Nancy Ann had married John Reuben Milby, and bore Alexander Milby. William and Fanny's daughter Charlotte Vance married Tarlton Wilson and bore Martha.
     Alexander Milby died on 18 June 1917 at Summersville, Green County, Kentucky.
     Alexander Milby Alex Milby was a surveyor and planter, who was one of the more important men in Green County, Kentucky.

After Martha died in 1870, Alexander Milby remarried to Rhoda Ellen Perkins Morris, daughter of Elam Perkins (grandson of James and Judith (Whitlow) Perkins by their son Jesse) and Milly Milby (granddaughter John and Catherine (Laremore) Milby by their son James Samuel Milby and his wife Rhoda Benningfield).

Rhoda's first husband Robert B. Morris (whom she married on 1/3/1861 per Green County Marriages) had died in the Civil War, and she had had two daughters by him, Naomi Catherine Morris, who died in infancy, and Roberta (Bobbie) Ellen Morris who married William Money.

Alexander helped raise Bobbie, and Rhoda bore him seven more children. In the 1900 Green County Census, Upper Brush Creek Area, Alex Milby is head of family 41. He is 70 years of age and has been married 25 years. His wife Rhoda E. is 68 and listed as the mother of 9 children, 8 living. The children in the home are: Mattie O., 24; Walter, 17; Mallie, 15; and a grandson, Coakley, age 8 (born January 1892).

In the 1910 Green County census, Upper Brush Creek, Alex Milby is head of household #109. He is 80 years of age and has been married 36 years. His wife is Rhoda E., age 70, the mother of 9 children, 8 living. The children are: Mattie P., 34; Walter, 26; Mollie, 25 years of age. A daughter, Mary E., age 30, is now named Stearman and is living at home with her family. Her husband is William A. Stearman and they have 1 child, William A. Stearman, age 6. There is another Grandson in Alex's house. His name is Valney C. Milby, age 13, but there is no indication which daughter Valney belongs to.

The Green County Record, June 29, 1917: Mr. Alexander Milby aged 80 years died 18 June 1917 at his home in Summersville. He leaves a widow Mrs. Rhoda Perkins Milby and nine children, James Milby of LaRue Co., Mrs. Ben Milby of Summersville, D. Milby of Nebraska, Mrs. James DeWitt, Walter Milby, Miss Mattie Milby, Mrs. William Stearman and Frank Milby all of Summersville. (The June 29, 1917 entry stated that he was 88 years old).
