HAMBLETON, IOLA M.HODGES Mrs. Iola Hambleton, age 84, of Forrest City, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Forrest City.Mrs. Hambleton was born May 10, 1919, in St. Francis County, the daughter of Anson Boyd Hodges and Ella Lively Hodges. She lived in the Forrest City area for all of her life, and was a member of the Eastern Stars, the Happy Days Club and the First United Methodist Church.Mrs. Hambleton married Derwood Hambleton in 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1964. She is survived by four nieces, Pauline Williams and Katherine Silver both of Indiana, Patricia Ashley of Wynne and Brenda Andrews of Steele, Mo., and three nephews, Lee Hodges of Wynne, Neil Canady of Houston, Texas and Melvin Algood of Florida.Visitation for Mrs. Hambleton will be held on Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Stevens Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Kelso and Rev. Gary Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Hughes Cemetery.
